About Jordan King

Repton School pupil Jordan King is one of this year’s favourites in the Minimax Super One (S1) National Kart Championship, the series the vast majority of the top British drivers have come through.

The 14-year-old is one of the favourites for 2008 in the Minimax Super One (SI) National Kart Championship, the key series that the vast majority of top British racing come through, after finishing 12th in last year’s event.

Now well into his third year competing, Jordan currently drives a Tony Kart – a 125cc vehicle that can achieve speeds of around 80mph.

His team brought it into Repton to allow his Year 9 friends to have a look at the vehicle, see him drive it and learn a little more about his involvement. Repton School head teacher Robert Holroyd said: “Everyone was looking forward to seeing Jordan in his kart.

“We are thrilled at the excellent progress he is making and are pleased to support his involvement in the sport.”
